Byron Bay Art Galleries & Classes
Each area has its own galleries, though many artists also display their work in restaurants, resorts and cafes. Many different specialities are represented, including painting, photography, carving and sculpting, although many artists experiment with a variety of mediums.
In the Byron district alone, there are more than 70 galleries and outlets displaying everything from toys, pottery and handcrafted jewellery to furniture, quilts and textiles.
On Border Street, you will find the Epicentre, a large art gallery featuring several retail outlets and resident artists.
Visit the Arts Factory and discover your own talent by taking part in an artist's workshop.

Featuring more than 250 outlets, the Byron Bay Arts and Industry Estate stands alone as the ultimate shopping wonderland.
Watch as the craftsmen at Colin Heaney's Hot Glass Studio fashion fluid glass with metal accents to create unique artwork flooded with colour. Andre Vanne's fascination with bird forms and various media reflect the wildlife of the area. With a quirky appeal to match their name, Flying Goolie Garden Sculptures add a sense of frivolity to any green space. Recycled oak wine barrels are given new life by talented Brian Burton. Sarah Lysaght's sense of fun and love of riotous colour is evident in her garden sculptures. Self-confessed 'Artomologist' Jane Davenport exhibits her love of nature as she captures nature 'on the fly'.
All manner of retailers co-exist with the artists at the Estate, each having a unique product that you may purchase and arrange to have shipped home for your convenience.
